ARE THERE STILL DEER IN THE MOUNTAINS??
« on: November 19, 2010, 10:02:33 AM »
I have hunted the woods around Marienville Pa since I was 12 yrs old.  Remebering the days of seeing 50 to 100 deer a day, but those days are long gone.  Every year I listen to the game commission telling us there are alot of deer left in the forest but t is news to me.  I spend time in the summer and in the fall in the woods and very rarely see any deer at all. The last 2 years there I have seen a total of 8 deer while hunting six days including opening day.  I am really confused with thier reports and invite them to hunt opening day up there so they can show me all these big Bucks running around ,  and oh yea all the doe to???  Well 2010 season has past for me in Marienville again going with out even seeing a tail.  You sure are thinning the herd> to nothing.
